How it  Started

Meet our founders

Aweh Support prides itself on providing the highest quality services.

We are so glad to have you be a part of our team and be on this journey with us

Aweh Support was established in 2018 by Anim and Bie Aweh who had the vision to provide quality mental health and wellness services for their community.

Today Aweh Support provides holistic services including mental health therapy, health education, immigration support, career coaching, and financial literacy. Currently, we provide services in five states and look forward to expanding globally in order to expand our reach and give the world access to our highly sought-after services.

Anim Aweh is a licensed mental health therapist and certified clinical health educator with over 15 years of experience of direct care and facilitation. Anim specializes in helping Black women overcome trauma, anxiety, and depression. With a background in public health and extensive experience as a clinical health educator, Anim brings a unique and holistic approach to mental health therapy. She deeply understands the complex interplay between physical, emotional, and psychological well-being and the impact that systemic racism and oppression can have on mental health. Anim is passionate about empowering Black women to heal from the effects of trauma and live fulfilling joyful lives. She is an active listener who creates a safe and supportive space for her clients to process their experiences, identify their strengths, and work towards their goals. Her approach to therapy is inclusive, culturally competent, and evidence-based, incorporating various therapeutic techniques tailored to each individual’s needs.
She has coined the phrase Therapy Over Silence, which is tied to a social movement that addresses the unique needs of black and brown people in the mental health space.

Bie Aweh is a talent developer focused on equity and inclusion strategy. With nearly a decade of experience in coaching adult learners, building sustainable partnerships, designing and facilitating training, and driving social change by providing career pathways for underrepresented groups. Bie's passion for connecting underrepresented populations to the innovation economy fuels the work she does today at DoorDash as the Senior People Growth Manager for Women/Non-binary and underrepresented talent development. In this capacity, she delivers high-impact learning experiences for women and non-binary people of all backgrounds and underrepresented people of color, while also exploring different levers to ensure these groups can actualize their full potential.

As technology continues to drive economic growth, she is a firm believer that people from underrepresented groups need to be in positions to contribute not only because we have a moral obligation but because it is great for business.
